Who should take this class?
This introductory workshop is great for anyone who wants to discover the foundations and potential of digital photography.
What you will learn
Over 8 weeks we'll be covering all the nuts-to-bolts aspects of exposure, shutter speeds, aperture, ISO, depth of field, motion blur, as well as comparing different lenses and the basics of composition. Class instruction strongly emphasizes technical understanding and operating in the field, with weekly assignments and critique.
Digital Photo I is a goal-oriented process, culminating in final projects that students will discuss, print, install and exhibit for the Student Show which takes place at the completion of class.
